Biography

I was born and raised on the east coast of the United States. As a youth, I excelled in many sports. Through sports, I learned to be disciplined and I could clearly see the value of hard work. I soon realized that in order to reach my goals, I needed to perform well in school. As a result, I realized that education was the vital component needed to be successful. I decided to attend Towson University where I achieved my bachelor's degree in Mass Communications.

Later in life, I moved to the west coast. I earned my first master's degree in Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Los Angeles. I feel as though my education has greatly contributed to my sense of equity, fairness and social justice.

From there, I enrolled in the doctorate program in Educational Leadership at California State University, San Bernardino. While in that program, I also pursued and obtained my second master's degree in Educational Administration.

Although I value education, I also have numerous interests and hobbies that keep me busy and focused on what is important in life. I feel all of us are slowly changing over time and we bring with us unique experiences that have somehow molded us into what we are today.

As an educational leader, I feel we never stop learning. I am always eager to learn about new cultures, educational theories and practices, and I value the opportunity to have those unique experiences again. I feel as though my journey has just begun, and I will continue to learn and extend my base of knowledge. I also encourage you to do the same.
